I made this little winter scene from a piece salvaged from a previous layout. It is a derelict Irving gas station. I just can't bring myself to get rid of the structures from a previous layout that I have no use for on my new layout. I think the third shot best depicts ambient light coming from a street lamp.

Looks Good

I like the lighting but if you have raw files photos could be improved with a little bump in exposure and bringing up the blacks.

Photos??

Just found you photo in the "Weekly Photo Fun, December 8-14, 2018" post and compared it to the one in this post. The "Photo Fun" is definitely brighter and has more contrast. Great seasonal diorama and picture(s).

Thanks Ken. I'm going to take

Thanks Ken.

I'm going to take some more shots and experiment with a small light. I'm aiming to get the look of a night shot with some ambient light coming from a nearby street light.

Though I do like the last image, it seems too lit though perhaps it could depict a moonlight lit scene?

Pictures

Unlike 99.99999999999%+ of viewers on the web I often pull pictures over to a large calibrated monitor for viewing where Images (including JPEGs) often look very different than what most see on their screens. I think the brighter blueish pictures look like a scene lit by a full moon. But there are a lot of lighting options you could use to great effect like using a small single incandescent bulb to simulate the lighting from an old streetlight.

Fantastic!

Deem... you're a great storyteller. Always enjoy your posts about Stonehammer, and it was revealing to see what you can do with a single, cast off structure. Great work.

Thanks, Ryan.

Will get back to Stonehammer someday, but for now I think I'll dig up another cast off structure.

In the meantime, I'll leave you with this one:
