Hi! I´ve completed my harbour after 2 years of work. It was all documented in a video tutorial available on Youtube channel 'marklinofsweden'. Here´s a few snap-shots from the video:

Your Videos

Hi Martin,

Just to say that I really appreciate your videos because your ideas are so original. Your method of making water was for me both simple and elegant, and when I get to that point, I will be using it.

I also enjoy the atmosphere you create in the video, and in the scenery you produce.

Thank you Gemma! It warms my

Thank you Gemma! It warms my heart to hear you like the videos!
I really enjoy both making the videos and the scenery. I had a well paid but super boring sales job before. Now I earn $1,40 USD/hour, but I´m happy every second of the day. It´s worth so much more! and.. it means there will be more videos being released too! I´m also hoping for more Patrons and donations, so I can continue this way.

All the best to you from a cold Sweden.

Regards / Martin

I have enjoyed your videos,

I have enjoyed your videos, particularly making water was useful to me, long before I got a railroad again... I used it to make water for a base for Disney Monorail Cinderella’s Castle  for my wife several months ago...it is ready  if she ever finishes her project. I have been forbidden from wiring soldering or scenicking the Castle though I was allowed to paint the foam board and water it for her. Something mumbled something about me taking over and not being cooperative on my Contemporary Resort or SpaceShipEarth Projects. Nah, I must have misheard.

Being Disney, Our water is also full of swirling magic... aka sparkles as per my wife’s request.

But I wouldn’t have known where or how to begin without your video tutorial.

It’s a real pleasure to get the chance to

Many thanks again for much inspiration and entertainment during long nights of frustration with soldering and glueing and mocking up and modifying etc. and for getting me interested in modelling again.

Cant wait to apply your ideas to some California coastline surf, Circa 1953, with the SP Coast Daylight whizzing by...

Water and Warmth.

Hi Martin,

what came across most strongly to me in your videos was your imaginative and original approach to age old problems - in as far as modelmaking goes, at least.

Last weekend I visited a trade show that had a few layouts for good measure. I was looking for the usual rubbish - came away with some turnouts and crossings, but little by way of inspiration. If there was a layout, it was just put together in the way one builds a house out of lego - it was all just cut and paste.

I have to admit to wanting to do little more than slapping buildings onto a baseboard, but I do at least want them to look a little different from the kit they arose out of. That is to say, a lot less than your delightful scenes - but that is my need and yours is clearly more than mine.

I can't even bother myself to post blog updates!
