Anyone have dimensions for the cutout to your fascia for the NCE PCP Power Panel? I am working on a T-Trak module design and I don't have my panel at hand. I also can't seem to find the info from NCE or anywhere online...

Thanks!

UTP

I use the older UTP's, but its basically the same thing.

Its 3/4" thick and about 2 5/16" wide.  I normally cut a hole no bigger than about 1" by 2 3/8".  You don't want to go too big or you won't be able to screw the face plate into the fascia.

Perhaps mount it below...

I used a shallow switch box (as in outlet/ switch 120V) and chopped a small opening to accommodate the components ... then added it below the layout framing... photo to follow within  this post.

Mounted sideways.. the normal (open) face is UP... and a slot is cut into the sidewall (used a nibbler for this)  with holes drilled to meet the NCE faceplate at the bottom. Wires enter from the back side and faceplate is on the front.

The NCE faceplate   is mounted (at the Top) directly to some of my benchwork... in this location it's lightweight control panel framing.   The switch box is also mounted to the framing (black screw is evident running vertically up into benchwork).. .thus offering structure to the box and not relying on the NCE plate for support.

The cutout in the box was done to fit the circuit board and 'phone' jacks. The principal was to protect the NCE board from below.

Here is the outline of the panel showing all of the hole locations -

You can download a PDF version of this (which should print out full-size as a template) from my website at -
