I am searching for a Bachmann Spectrum first release 4-6-0 HO-scale steam locomotive. I don't care what railroad, though I prefer undecorated. If you have one that you would part with please contact me. If you know of someone or some place I could get one please contact me.

Check ebay - they have everything!

A quick check show 4 of what appear to be the first generation.  Defiantly not the latest.

The ones with the large box are from the early runs.

If you have a 4-4-0 in russian iron, I would trade.

Doug -- Why first generation?

In researching this model I found that the first gen has separate plumbing details applied at the factory.The second gen apparently have molded on plumbing. While many separate detail items are out of scale and may detract from realism (grin), I can see and don't care for the molded on plumbing. I can live with molded on grab irons on my freight cars, but not molded on plumbing on my steam engines.

It is not advisable to post an email address where the world can see it. Members here know how to email you since they are logged in and can find your address. I have seen this once in a while in different forums.

Spammers and hackers use software to scan the internet for clueless PC users posting an address.
