Figures

Excellent modeling!  I model 1915 Goldfield, Nevada so I really appreciate what you have done.  Where did you get the figures and wagons?  There is always a shortage of good pre-1920 figures.  I could uses some good horses.

Superb!

So much flavor here! I can feel the ingenious energy of the locals scrabbling to squeeze economic life from the mud. That porch built around a tree in the background speaks volumes. Great work, thanks for sharing it!

Well done!

I recognize those two pine trees at the end of the road from old photos of Deadwood. I read somewhere that at least one of them stood for quite a few years in the middle of Main Street.

BTW - If anyone out there happens to travel to or through Deadwood, stop in and check out the Northern Hills Railway Society's layout. It's in the basement of a store at 614 Main Street.

Very Cool!

This is a great job, I model the Missouri & North Arkansas in the "teens" and would love to know how you modeled that beautiful muddy road.

Thank you, Craig

Apologies for the slight

Apologies for the slight thread drift.

Craig:

I'm a long time enthusiast of the North Arkansas. (Since discovering it in the mid-1970's.) Would love to see your M&NA layout/etc. Do you have pictures/etc of it online? If so, a link or links?

Respond by PM perhaps?

Thanks.

Good work!

Wow, great job!

Deadwood was one of the few places that really had the look of the 'generic wild west town main street' in most cowboy movies. Your structures look darned good for that place and time.

And like most others responding; love that mud!

Great!

Great looking muddy street! I am doing 1900 to 1930 myself and these would really work on my layout.
