Just had to post... I just finished up putting a Loksound Select Micro in my son's Rivarossi S100 0-6-0T and I'm pretty damn proud of myself. This was my second sound install and my first in a factory-finished loco, and a freaking tiny one at that.

A quick rundown of everything I did (roughly in order):
Convert decoder from NMRA 8-pin to NEM 651 6-pin plug, using the dummy plug pins
Add speaker and speaker box
Download sound project file to decoder using LokProgrammer
Do plastic surgery to the cab floor to make room for speaker box
Resolder headlight leads that I accidentally pulled off the motherboard
Tweak CVs, sound settings, and chuff sync (this will be ongoing for a few days, I think; trying to make a simple sound command scheme for a 5-year-old)

In retrospect, I wish I had taken some pictures and written it up, but oh well, there will be other projects. Maybe a video of this little steamer going through its paces later today.

I'm watching...

I have an S100 that is in line for sound, so look forward to seeing an example.

Though I will use the molded housing in the cab roof for my speaker.
