Has anyone used the Woodland Scenics Just Plug lighting system ?  I am looking at using it but would like to
know if anybody has used the system and how you liked it or disliked it.  Any info would be helpful.

Thanks,
Howard

Just Plug

One of the Dave's here (skiloff) has the Just Plug System.  I know he said he was happy with it.

If you are the hobbyist who would rather avoid DIY wiring and lighting, Just Plug was made for that hobbyist, in my opinion.

If you are a hobbyist that enjoys wiring and tinkering with electronics, there are nearly endless possibilities, at less cost than the Just Plug system.

It's a great way to quickly install layout lighting.

Like Kevin says

The Just Plug is a quick, easy way to get lighting on your layout with dimmers built in to adjust intensities if you want to.  It literally takes minutes to set up and has some flexibility with the extension cables, hubs, etc..  The tradeoff is it will cost a lot more than doing your own wiring and is not nearly as flexible if you go to solutions using Arduinos and the like.  Bottom line - if you want to get lighting on the layout quickly and aren't that comfortable with wiring and what resistor I need for this or that, Just Plug is a good choice.  If you are more comfortable wiring lights and don't need it urgently, you will save a lot of money doing it yourself.
