To All: Recent happenings on the layout. I installed photographic backdrops on the layout on the lower and upper levels. They are printed on 80 pound paper (card stock). I cut out the sky with a sharp Xacto Blade and painted in my own sky and clouds, with smoke out of the stacks. In some areas the backdrops are behind shallow relief building to give a 3D effect. WOW

They look really good.  Did you take the pictures yourself or did you buy them?

Photographic Backdrops.

jmt99atsf: The photos are from a DVD that I borrowed from a model railroad friend. I forget the company that put out the DVD, but they had  dozens of scenes to choose from. Print Expess printed them on 80 pound paper (card stock) for 59 cents a page. I spent $60.00.for all I will need (about 45 feet worth). They are well worth the cost. Yours, Elvin Howland/E.
