Where are the MRH Podcasts?  Not the link to Itunes. I don't use Itunes.

I see lots of people talking about Podcasts but no actual, clickable link that takes me to a podcast.

I don't use Itunes. I have an Android device.

Many posts here say that you can download them in MP3 format. I haven't seen any posts that actually provide a clickable link to an MP3 podcast.

So where are the podcasts?

I searched Google, I searched the site link. I found lots of chatter but no links. Except for Itunes. I don't use Itunes.

Joe or somebody, would you please use this space here to insert some links? That will make them easy for people to find all in one place when they search for them.

Here they are . . .

Click on Goodies in the top right corner of the MRH page and the link to the MRH Podcasts is halfway down the drop-down menu.

The podcasts seem to be mixed in with other MRH stuff, but each podcast has a link to its mp3 file.

can't find the podcasts

I'm having the same trouble others have mentioned in accessing the MRH podcasts. I have the Chrome extensions loaded on my computer, and when clicking on ANY of the links on the podcast page, it takes me to another page for reading the magazine- nothing about podcasts. I'd really like to listen to them, but where are they???

Thanks but..

Thanks Terry for the pointer but when I go there, all I see is a straight XML page with Itunes links. Where are the links to the MP3 versions that I can download for my Android devices?? I don't do Itunes.

You need to use an app on mobile devices

You need to use an app on mobile devices to access podcasts - the mobile web browsers do very poorly. Unfortunately Chrome totally sucks for Podcast feed access on any platform. It will take some time to explain so look for the answers next week in the April issue. We will then overhaul the podcast section of the website because the latest crop of mobile browsers make podcast access into a total quagmire - while Firefox on the desktop does *great*. Chrome is just a lost cause on any platform for podcast access.

What App is Good...

Thanks Joe.

So what's a good app to use that isn't Itunes?? Any suggestions?

It all depends on your browser . . .

I didn't think to check before, but, after seeing Joe's comments, I tried several browsers.

The links to the mp3 files show up OK in Internet Explorer or Safari, but not in Chrome or Firefox.

Hopefully, this will get sorted out in the near future.

Terry, what device?

Terry, can you also tell us what kind of device? Mac, Windows PC, Linux, iOS or Android? They all could behave differently, so it helps to know. Also, the browser versions matter as well. There are literal hundreds of combinations, all possibly different.

Success...

I got a podcast to play on my Android smart phone by navigating to the .mp3 file as suggested above then manually typing the .mp3 URL into the browser of my phone.

Ugh. What a pain. But it works.

For example:

Windows Desktop

Joe, I am just using my Windows desktop PC to access the podcasts - and it is still using XP with Internet Explorer 8. I also have Google Chrome Version 33, Firefox 18, and Safari 5.1.7 loaded.

I haven't yet checked later versions of Internet Explorer on my other machines running Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, but I can do if it would be useful to you.
