Rick - To answer your question

After the gray primer dried I sprayed the building with a concrete color I always use which is a 50/50 (one bottle of each) mix of Polly Scale Aged Concrete #F414320 & Polly Scale Concrete #F414317. After this has dried I spray a coat of Model Master Acryl #4636 Flat Clear. I then airbrush a very light coat of highly diluted PS Tarnished Black #F414140 over the whole structure & a highly diluted PS Rust #F414323 were required. After all of this is dried I dry brush the building to accent the high spot details with "Apple Barrel" #2608 Country Tan artist acrylic paint. I use this general process on all of my structures. With Polly Scale paints not going to be available anymore I will more then likely switch to Badger or maybe the new ones from Micro Mark (These only after I try them out). I have used Badger paints before and like them very much plus they are quite a bit less expensive (buy on-line) then any others I have found.

The Badger paints dry with a little bit of shine, but since I over spray everything with a flat coat it really doesn't matter.

This is a good place to buy Badger Paints online.

You can even special order a quart bottle... if you should need that much!

Badger Paints

Thanks JamesS for the link for Badger Paints. I like the idea of being able to get larger quantities as long as they don't dry out. Have you ever bought larger sizes? If so what was the shelf life?

Shelf life

One issue with Badger paints is they don't have a really long shelf life.   I had a quart bottle, used half and put the rest in storage.

After a year or so I opened up the bottle and the paint had turned color( and smelled bad).   I contacted Badger and was told I should shake/ rotate the bottle periodically...which I did not do.
