As promised here are the first round of pictures of the CNW Peninsula - Division. The first is the track plan. The layout room is 29' x 32' with a 6' x 12' extension for the Ashland Yard and a 16" x 13' extension for the off line yard. During operating sessions we use the Ashland Yard to make up trains and then the yard master shoves them back into the off line storage yard to wait for an operator to take the train out onto the main layout.

WOW!!

You've got some space there! I really like your track plan. It is nice how well it flows. What era are you modeling?

Fantastic, Richard...`

This brings back some great memories of the 50s' and 60s' when I used to spend time in Watersmeet while vacationing on the Gogebic chain of lakes. I had just started my own layout, the Watersmeet RR when Uncle Sugar decided he needed me more than my wife did. Unfortunately I never did get to finish much of it but after being away from railroading for nearly 50 years I'm getting the bug thanks to this site and especially articles like yours. All the photos I took, many in 3D, will come in handy when I begin again. Thanks much... Jerry
