I am putting the cart before the house or vise versa. I have posted pics. before of finished areas and/or finished structures. But based on a post in the discussion section on benchwork I would like show what I did for my layout build. But bear in mind this was how I did it and is not the only way.

Progress!

As they say, "getting there is half the fun!"  Looking good thus far! What controls do you plan to use? Are you planning for Ops? John Colley, Port Townsend, WA

Progress

John,

As I stated I am out of sequence with these pictures. The layout is about 75% scenic and fully operational. We operate here the second Tuesday of every month. I have posted newer and more current pictures of the layout and structures before on my blog and/or in the discussion forums. But to answer your question I originally used Digitrax, but had so much trouble with it switched to EasyDCC by CVP Products and have had absolutely no problems since. It was the best thing I every did. All of the guys in my operations group use it. I will try to continue to post more pictures as time goes on. Feel free to ask any questions you have and I will be happy to answer if I can.

Very Nice

Great mine scene...love the scale and layout. Meaning..not to much track for the given area (not cramped).
