Not sure how you can open ANY pages of a file that won’t download, so your message is confusing. Is it that it downloads, but the downloaded file is corrupt? Now that would make more sense.

If you tell us more details of your specific situation we will be able to give troubleshooting suggestions. Tell us:

1. What kind of device: Window PC, Mac, Tablet (brand), Phone (brand)?
2. Which browser are you using? Chrome, Firefox, Ms Edge, Safari, something else?
3. Have you tried completely power cycling your device and retrying?
4. Have you tried more than one browser?
5. Have you tried more than one device, such as both a desktop and a laptop?
6. Have you tried more than one internet connection, such as both your WiFi and a phone hotspot?
7. Have you tried power cycling your WiFi router or modem?

If I purchase the Running Extra Special for 29.99, will it automatically renew next year? Will the price to renew still be 29.99?

Thank You.

The 29.99 special is no longer being offered, but we are offering a $2.99 per month gets it all special right now … you can either do monthly billing or annual billing ($35.88, which is $2.99 x 12) — see note below. Once you do one of these specials, you lock in that pricing for good, which means you auto-renew at that price until you specifically cancel.

NOTE: The annual billing does include all 60 back issues of RE as as significant bonus for annual. However, on the annual billing, sales are final, which mean no refund if you later change your mind. If that’s a concern, then we recommend monthly since you can cancel that any time.

Joe thank you for the response. To subscribe to the monthly $2.99 option do I just purchase the current December RE and it locks me in? This is all new to me and I guess I don't completely understand.

Thank you for the info and appreciate the work you put into MRH.

Just use these buttons to make your purchase -- it's the same buttons as in the holiday sale emails and ads. You can do monthly or annual billing.

Here's monthly billing:

Here's the annual billing:

* Annual billing is 2.99 x 12. As an extra benefit, if you do annual, we give you all 60 back issues of Running Extra
as well. All sales are final, which means no refunds after purchase. If that's a concern, we recommend monthly
billing because that can be cancelled any time.

Sale ends Jan 2nd.

I'm going crazy...In the December 23 RE, Charles Hepperle refers to a shopping list at the end of his article.  I know I saw it because I ordered 2.54 mm plugs from the list.  I received a different set of plugs than what I thought was referenced but now there is no link to Amazon or shopping list  like I thought there was before. i am in need of good plugs for a series of  LocoFi installs I am working on for a Bachmann HO 2-8-0's.  My soldering lately isn't the best and I don't see how I could strip and re-use the Bachmann mother boards to connect the existing bachmann wiring soldering pads to the LocoFi unit.

But I need more help. I found the plugs that look like the ones illustrated in the article and am going to order them.  I have Amazon Prime and can return the wrong plugs or just put them in my electronics projects stash.   But then I realized that the steps of using the plugs were not illustrated in the article. I could use a little help or pointer in how Charles used connected decoder and pickup wires using these plugs. Also as the Bachmann wiring is not NMRA standard I will need to color code the plugs either male or female or both to ensure they match the LocoFi unit which is NMRA standard color code.  Any hints on that.
