Big backend changes this month

Some big changes this month.

First, all ads have been reformatted to have links that look like content links, not adserver links. Ad blockers should let them pass now without stopping ad clicks.

Second, the web download page has been reconfigured to go directly to our Amazon server and there FORCE a download. No more opening inside the browser by default.

And finally, this issue of MRH has a longer cover story and an extra first look on the ScaleTrain Tunnel Motor. I just couldn't pass up one of those with the totally clear rear air intake screens.

I haven’t gotten it yet. Nor

I haven’t gotten it yet.

Nor the announcement on the July issue of MRH, had to come looking for it since the “current issue” still directs to the June issue.

Access via Android app

I read each issue on an Android tablet but I notice that there seems a delay before the current issue appears. Is this normal or has something gone amiss?

I still can't access the July issue via the Android app.

Adaptation to Arduino input

Greg,

Thanks for pointing me to this article. It seems like an effective, cheap block detection sensor for an Arduino. Currently I am using CT coils and a 910 ohm "burden resistor" as my sensor. My circuit lacks the transistor, diode and cap. The issue I am having is my sensors are too sensitive. All the sensors are attached to feeders on the shared track bus, but are isolated with gaps in the rails. When one is sensing current in its block, the others next to it often go off as well. It was suggested to me to mulitplex the sensor signal and grounds to my sensors, so they are more isolated. I haven't tried this yet but will soon. Have you had any issues like this with your sensors? I'm trying to find a more robust design.

Also, was this sensor intended to be used as an analog input or digital input? or either?

Thanks,

Justin

Methinks you would be best served were you to post this in the appropriate thread:

This thread you've posted in is the general thread for the magazine issue not the specific article.
