Planning city scenes on slopes/hillsides

Happy holidays to all.  I'm looking for a good tutorial, suggestions, pointers, etc. about planning and installing city scenes on slopes/hillsides.  I'd like to include buildings, stores, streets and sidewalks that are on hillsides as part of some of the urban located elements of my layout.  I've found lots of articles, videos, articles, etc. about designing and building hillside and/or mountainous scenery and landscapes.  What I haven't found is some material to walk me through designing, laying out, and building urban scenes on slopes and hillsides, e.g., a street going downhill and leading to a waterfront scene, with building on either side of the street; intersections part of the way up the street with other streets and buildings located along leveled contours of the hillside, etc.

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.  Thanks, Gil
