Feb issue release is a bit early this month

Since we're all travelling to the the Amherst Show in Springfield, setting up, and then doing the show this coming weekend, we're getting the Feb issue out a bit early.

That's why we like to post it early ... to find the boo-boos we miss cuz we've been staring at it all month already!

We'll fix this ... and anything else you guys find tomorrow.

Problem downloading with Firefox

The Feb issue will display on line OK, but I am not able to download the landscape version. Is this the same as the problem on Trainmasters with the new Firefox?  It starts to download put stops after 2-3 minutes.

I am using Windows XP with Firefox and Roadrunner for internet service.

Try this ...

Try this ...
1. Try the backup servers too.
2. Try a different browser.
3. Try the download button on the bottom of the online edition -- it takes you to the index where you pick which format you want ... does that download work any better?

One of those should work for you.

Download button on online addition doesn't work either

The download button takes me to the last page OK, but the same problem exist when I click on the Landscape version.  It starts, bur stops after a few minutes.  I'll try another browser.  Is the old flash downloader still available?

Yes It's A Model ***FIXED***

Hi Joe - Just a couple notes regarding my YIAM submission:

  1. Photo was taken by Murray Bouschlicher on my layout, done handheld with a Nikon D810 and an AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED lens at 32mm zoom, f10, 1/250, ISO 2000.
  2. Not that anyone's going to notice, but that crossing is actually 460th St. rather than 470th.

Thank you!

Simple Ops system

Our group of 7-8 folks is looking to do some intro structure for car movement systems.  We are looking a Panel Pro as a first option but we are far from a decision. Our group is low key with a mix of folks wanting to just run a train and folks who want to do structures switching.  The layout reps the Lamoille Valley RR in the 1980's, with a mainline run of about 250 feet and 7 passing siding averaging 5 1/2 feet in length.  Digitrax DCC

Any one got a startup system that we could look at?

That was corrected long ago

That was only in the test pre-release version and that was corrected long ago. The test pre-release is just that -- a test and it's known to have a few bugs. Try getting a fresh download.
