Palm trees are a difficult thing to model. There are a number of low quality plastic models that are still expensive or just too toy like. Then there are some really high quality ones by http://www.hartofthesouth.com/but at 10-20 USD a tree you can't fill up the background with those.

These trees will be great to use in the background with some of hte Hart of the South trees in the foreground. I am planning a Cuban diorama and will keep this article handy. Thanks for a convincing way to make palms. They certainly look better than the dollar store dinosaur pack ones AND are cheaper.
