What happened to The Digitrax Presntation that was due on 7/6/09

I realize that you guys were under a deadline, but the Digitx presentation from the N-Scale Convention was supposed to be on Movie Monday yesterday, 7/6/09. What happened?

We ran out of time

Irv:

We ran out of time - the video needed edited, then rendered, then uploaded, then web pages built for it - and at the last minute Zana Ireland forwarded us new material to include ... so after getting issue 3 out the door on the 3rd, it was hurry up and pull all the logisitics and final preparation together for videoing some 30 clinics at Hartford ...

End result is we had to hit the sack way early the evening of the 4th so we could get up at 3 am and get to the airport and catch our flight to Hartford.

It was insanity to also try and re-edit/re-render/re-upload and then post the 5 Digitrax video segments - so we had to delay it until we get back from Hartford.

We also told the grandkids to forget celebrating the 4th until we get back - just too darn much going on from July 1-12 ...

It's OK!

I sort of figured that's what happened. Hopefully everything will get back on track after the convention. 3 AM flights are no fun. I wish I could join you in Hartford but my the Social Secretary (my wifes) tells me we've got to many commitments this week.

At least I can attend the convention vicariously through what you are posting and what you'll be posting over the next few months. Thanks for doing that.

Update ???

Hey Joe , how are you ??? Can you let me know when here will be an update in MRH Theater?? Your last comment was July 2008 , so I think it would be time , don't you ?? ;-))    Take care bossman and talk to you later . Pierre from Laval, Canada .

IPad Blues

I prolly missed the place where iPad /Safari problems, that prevent the viewing of your videos, was discussed. In turns, Safari complains that it can't download, display, or do much of anything whenever I want to view not only your videos, but most other videos.

I don't have any trouble viewing videos on YouTube, most likely because I bypass Safari. Do you by chance post your videos there?

Your reply would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think everything is there, but most of it is.

MRH Theater Update

Many of the videos were hosted on a site (Blip.tv) that has purged the copy from there site. Joe Fugate has been working "on the back burner" to retrieve some of them from his archive and upload them to a more suitable site. Many of them have been done thusly; however, you might be trying to view one that has not yet been processed. To upload the video once it has been retrieved from the archive, it also often times require re-rendering before uploading. If you can state which video(s) you have problems viewing, then there may be a possibility someone can say where you can view from an alternate site. Some of the content was also offered as a bonus download, so, if you have the ability to download (they are in the ZIP format) then expand/extract the video(s), you could view them from your local storage.

Just curious...

Is the MRH Theater still a thing?  With the imminent demise of Flash (December 31, 2019 is the drop-dead date), have any of the videos been converted to, say, MP4 format?  If not, is there some way I could be of assistance?  I don't have a production facility, but am a software guy and know my way around video formats.  Seems like a good cause to me...

Ok...as it might have been if it were doing industrial switching in Spokane in the 60s.
