It's been nearly another year since my last update so I thought I'd post a few recent photos. I've been slacking this summer (golf became a priority with the outstanding weather). I spent some time at the bench doing some weathering rolling stock and a couple of ex-Soo Line locos (both of which are still in 1:1 service). I also finished weathering an elevator kit and made my own decals. The main project going forward will be to complete the city and elevator scene. At present, I'm constructing roads and streets in what represents my old home town (East of Flint, Mi. on the Port Huron/Flint subdivision of the CN/GTW RR). I had some of the roads in place made with Hydrocal, but I wasn't happy with the appearance, so I've torn them out and am using strips of "For Sale" signs instead. So far, I like the look much better, now I have to airbrush the colors and weather the pavement ( partly blacktop and partly concrete). The elevator in the photo is not in the correct place, ass it will eventually be placed on the opposite side of the main along an added team track and an extension to the benchwork. The rest of the scene needs to be finished first as the extension will present a "reach" issue. Anyway, have a look and any comments, critiques, suggestions, etc. are welcome. Gerry S.
