As you may know, the prototype East Broad Top didn't operate this year which also means that there won't be the annual Fall Spectacular. I wrote a 'what if' article for my website depicting a ficticious 2012 Fall Spectacular. All of us EBT fans are hoping that things get resolved and everything is up and running in 2013.

I hope you will enjoy it. It's at: http://royhoffman.com/pwrr/fallspec

EBT railroad

Hi Roy,

Nice layout. Love the EBT when I discovered back in 1970.

The M1, is that a scratch build or RTR model?

M-1

Hi Bernd,

The M-1 is a R-T-R version by Railmaster Hobbies http://www.railmasterhobbies.com/

They also make a pewter kit of it that runs on a modified HO chassis.

The M-1

That is one nice looking model. The price doesn't seem high either.

I remember when I found the EBT back in '71, not 70. I've got pictures posted up on my other web site. Is there anything left in Mt. Union?

I plan putting in an HOn3 layout to haul coal. That's what I've based my coal hauling railroad on.

Here's the link to my EBT prototype pictures. http://frontiernet.net/~thecat/ebt.htm

Great work.

Wish that M-1 came in O Scale.  The Local club I belong to is rebuilding our O Scale Layout and we want to do an eastern proto-freelanced narrow gauge roughly based on the EBT.  The trouble is the two On3 loco's we have are really western narrow gauge locomotives.  Nothing horribly wrong with that, but a more EBT prototype would be better.
