First scenery on the Virginia Southern
Sun, 2012-08-19 19:07 — vasouthern
Took the plunge and started my first scenery. I havent done scenery since the late 80's at my old club.
I will cover more of the brown next time but for the first try I am satisfied. I will add more trees to the right side.
The trees and ground cover is home made foam, custom colors. Trees are made using weeds and foam.
Enjoy!

Good Start
You're off to a good start, Randy. The trees blend well with the backdrop, and the colors look good, too. I agree with your comment about the brown. A little brown dirt color here and there around the edge of the forest canopy adds to the overall scene. Adding a darker ground cover under the trees and/or building up some smaller trees and bushes around the edge of the "forest" might help add more depth to the scene and further help blend it into the backdrop.
Nice work!
