I sure hope they do. . .
I think that is a great idea.
Personally, I would like to see Amtrak come out with Heritage Passenger Cars. I know they have the older paint scheme on a couple of engines, but I would like to see some of their passenger cars painted in SP Daylight and run on the Coast Starlight.
heritage cont.
I am quite sure my employer will not allow that as the paint scheme is now theirs.
BNSF Heritage schemes
I for one would like to see BNSF come out with heritage units like the Norfolk Southern did. I would not mind seeing Great Northern green and orange paint and Rocky logo on a new diesel from GE or EMD.

I thought the "Pumpkin"
I thought the "Pumpkin" scheme (in it's various incarnations) was a heritage interpretation of the GN Green and Orange. Sheesh - what more do you want for a GN tribute? The whole freakin' railroad is in GN heritage, with the exception of a few(?) holdouts that haven't been repainted since the BN-ATSF merger.
