Building a fleet of ore cars

Hunter Hughson's picture

I'm in the midst of building a fleet of 16 CPR ore cars from resin kits.  I've documented my progress on my blog on wordpress because I think that it is a unique opportunity to track the construction of a fairly large fleet of cars.  I'm also hoping that my blog will help help others to build the same cars, or to think about how to approach the construction of a fleet of any kind of cars.

There isn't much there yet, but I like writing, and I like taking pictures of my models as I build them.  Those interested in how I'm progressing with this project can check it out at  http://ontarioinhoscale.wordpress.com

I'm hoping to post there fairly regularly.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

I like it

It's a classy looking blog, HH.  I'm looking forward to seeing all the cars get completed (and running them on the layout, too...)  I will have to look into something like that for my own private blog sometime.

Very interesting to see a

Very interesting to see a solution to a problem rather than just a mention that you had to straighten out some of the car bodies.  Very unique solution to it also.  Hot water and patience.

Thanks Jurgen and Ward.  I'm putting up new posts as that project moves along.

Citing the source...

By the way Ward, the solution that I outlined in my blog wasn't mine.  It came to me from Sylvan, the maker of the resin kit, by way of a member of the club I belong to. :)
