Hmmm...I have seen this one before.

You know you have done a good job modeling when some one else knows what your building.  I figured this one out real quick as I'm copying the same industry.  Did not know the place was called Ernest F. Mariani Co.  Spotted it on a drive home one day.  I needed a place to run all my HFCS tank cars too.  As you can see I use google maps and bing maps a lot.  This gives a person a good idea of what the site will look like.

Besides that HFCS Tank cars you also have LO Round Cover Hoppers.  Not sure what is in them but it would a nice add on for a compact industry.  With that amount of cars in a small area I know operations will be a blast once Sucrocorp goes on line.

I'm doing a copy of this industry for my layout too.  But it will be called Sucrocorp.

Peavine

Good to see other Peavine modellers out here.

Nice model and nice pictures. BTW I have also taken some flyovers over Mobest Yard and the surrounding area by means of google.maps and Bing. Yes, more than once.

More often than not I regret that I did not jump on modern ATSF/BNSF than the around 60's I am "stuck with" now.

It is not easy to swap your old US-models here in northern Europe were I live.

MARIANI DISTRIBUTING

HELLO TO AZBAJA

THANKS FOR THE GREAT COMPLIMENT ON MY MODEL. JUST TO GIVE YOU A HEADS UP ON WHAT'S IN THE TANKERS & HOPPERS. IT'S SUGAR IN LIQUID & DRY FORM. IT IS DISTRIBUTED TO BEVERAGE MANUFACTURES. THE LACK OF ROOM HAS FORCED ME TO CONDENSE THIS STRUCTURE QUIT A BIT. I AM VERY HAPPY THE WAY THAT IT HAS TURNED OUT

Peavine in "N" scale

I also model the Peavine in "N" scale from Mobest yard to the Matthie "Y".

Although I live in Canada, I go to Phoenix often. I don't like Canadian winters.

Sugar ?

is the sugar shipped out dry or mixed in with a liquid?  Also in the tank cars is it HFCS or some other form of liquid sugar?

Thanks  info on the operation would be great if you have it.
