Jake's Abattoir, Herfords in their natural habitat

Just a quick post to show the "undecorated" steers all painted up. I figured I'd show them grazing in the pasture to give them a few moments of happiness before their ultimate demise.
They turned out well, I think. I just wish I had ordered more than just the three of them. Oh well, I'll have to get in touch with the folks from Aspen Models and have them send me over the rest of the herd.

Hereford today, goneford tomorrow?
I'm sorry Andy but that is just a hereble, hereble pun.
Having grown up on the farm I can say from experience that I have never seen cattle line themselves up magnetically. They usually line themselves up against the prevailing wind. Keep in mind these observations were made long before the advent of Google Earth. Perhaps the cows know we are watching. If this German scientist were to look closer he might discover that the bovines of Earth are trying to give us a message... I'm guessing it's something like: "So long, and thanks for all the hay"

Great looking steers

Those are very authentic looking steers (I assume - can't tell for sure from this angle). Maybe little parachutes that say
