Interlocking at Taconite Plant

To All: As requested, another shot of Dave Capron's Taconite Plant. In the
foreground is a scratch built interlocking tower. To answer one posters
question on ore empties in Cincy, Ohio, I can only say it is part of
operation. Dave does not adhere to strict protoype, obviously. His layout
is a three deck, HO scale, pike. It measures 64 ft. by 32 ft. and is
a freelanced coal hauler. Also featured is large grain movements, chemicals,
stock yards, iron ore (with a lake boat I scratch built), passenger trains,
reefer trains, manifest freights and locals. His Cincy yard is 3 ft. by 30 ft.
Control is Digitrax. His layout has a dispatcher panel and he regularly runs
the layout with 14 to 18 people, mostly in the Autumn and Winter. He works on
the layout in the Summer. He is a semi-retired Chemistry teacher. He also is
a member of a round robin operating group of three other layouts in the
greater Suttons Bay, Michigan area. I was a member before moving to
Jacksonville, Florida, but still contribute by building him structures and
freight cars. The most fun I ever had was running his layout with the gang!
