Train railfan video's at Target

The wife stumbled upon these yesterday and took me out to look. So I bought the set.

It's called Railways and is a 10 DVD/18 hour set at target for 20 bucks. Can't beat that. From what I can tell, one set of 5 DVD's is steam and the other 5 are older diesel and home layouts. Some of it is shot in HD. They also have some older footage as well.

I started watching the first DVD last night, about 1 1/2 hours worth. It was on the Cass secinic railroad in Virgina. Good video of their Shay locos. Plenty of stuff to see and some good ideas that can be used in modeling. They showed single, double and even tripple headed trains. The mix was both Shay and Heisers. They have a switchback as well that is showed.

Plenty more to see and so I now have something to watch in the evenings as I wait for the glue to dry on my benchwork.

Has anyone else seen these?

Cass Senic RR

Crusty

I discovered the Cass way back in 70's. Have one of there videos and several books. Have rode it many times.

If you ever get a chance to ride the Cass RR it's an experience you'll never forget. Before my wife and I got married I took her there for a ride to the top of Bald Knob. We were the only ones that stayed in the gondola going up hill. By the time we got to the top we had more cinders and soot on us than the engine. She really enjoyed that ride.

BTW, what is the name of the series of videos that you bought?
