If you mean mine

If you mean mine, nope. I updated links in the "header" post for each.

There is no way to do that in the forum software without it bumping them all back to the top.

Think it's happened before...?

Is it just my imagination or does this happen every month or two?

Not your imagination

Not your imagination - that's been about how often I've added another module, and therefore, another thread, which in turn I add to the pseudo navigation in the others.

I'd prefer if you could make these changes without re-surfacing the thread, but I think that having the links in there might be important for someone who may stumble across one of the threads at a later date.

I try to make the changes all at once, and time it in between magazine releases.

If folks have a better idea, I'm all ears, but  for now, I don't see anymore additions as I'm on the last module.

In the meantime, they'll be pushed down and gone off the first page in a day - if not sooner.

That's what I thought...

That makes perfect sense.

Absolutely, your layout blogs are a great resource and the links bring it all together.  I particularly like the way you have formatted the "header" posts to each thread.

I actually thought it was MRH admin that was bringing the threads back up Scarp and was just (vaguely I guess) pointing out that this was not the first time I had seen it happen.  It's all good as far as I am concerned, keep doing what you are doing.

Got it! Thanks

I was just surprised that there were no new comments at the end. (i read them all). So wondered what was going on.

Just a thought on Links

Scarpia,

If you just provide new links in the your latest post then the reader can navigate back to all the links. Also they will then be able to go backwards from post to post. This would save you some work as well as leaving newer post at the top of the list.

Regards

John

I think spam also does the same thing.

When the board gets hit by a spammer, the thread goes to the top of the list.  Then when someone goes through a marks the new posts as spam, the spam post disappears, but the thread does not move back down the list to where it was before it was spammed.
