Athearn F unit truck issues
I have a Athearn Genisis F7(MRC sound Decoder that I'll be replacing) and a Athearn Blue Box Kit Locomotive (With Digitrax Decoder) that both have problems with there power pick ups. They will run for a while a stop. If you nug the trucks on the side they will usally move. I have had the Genisis trucks completly taken apart and clean (as well as replaced one truck) twice and have clean the blue box also. I have clean the wheels and track with no difference in performance in either one.
Has anyone else experienced this ( I am aware of the MRC Decoder issues). It appears the side frames electrical contact are not contacting the wheels/Axels. I have other brand locos Proto 2000 F3's/SD9's that don't experience this.
Any one have a solution on fixing the sideframes.
