Ontario Eastern

Good day all,

I am working on putting down on paper my list of industries and have hit a small snag on one.  My last industry going on on my layout will be a Talc Plant.  Now aside from Center-flo and covered hoppers, would anyone know what other cars would be used at a talc load facility- I am taking the product out of the plant stage and its being shipped to factories to be used in making products

Thanks inadvance...

Talc Plant

There was an article way back when in Railroad Model Craftsman on a talc plant on the Green Mountain Railroad in Vermont. If I remember right I saw 50' boxcars there also. Why the boxcars I can't tell and trying to find that article in my many years of subscription magazines would take forever.

They may have bagged it to transport it to the processing factories that add the scent to make you smell good like Johnson Baby powder. Sorry for the small amount of info.

Try a google on talc industry in Vermont. It may provide more info.
