Working on some more Penn Lake stone service hoppers. These are MDC/Roundhouse hoppers, with a combination of Champ and Highball decals.  Unfortunately, each cars requires 52 decals...

Yes these are total foobies...the Delaware & Hudson never had coil cars, but in my alternate universe they do.  In addition to these two Avon Blue ones, I have a pair of red ones in the works.

Weekend decalling project, six 2 bay hoppers + rock loads.  These guys still need clear coat and trucks.

Yet More Penn Lake Hoppers & a Flat Car

I recently acquired some Athearn offset side two bay hoppers cheap.  These use the "older" style small lettering.  The cars still need the interiors painted, and some loads made.
 

A better shot of the rib side hoppers from the previous post.  These are Walthers cars I picked up cheap.  They use the "newer" large lettering.  An empty showing the interior weathering, and a sand load.

I recently repainted my stock of BNSF covered hoppers to BN ones.  For the cost of a pack of decals, I got three "new" cars!
