Saw this on Jalopnik.com

What this guy is doing is like using your model railroad to bring coal in to hear your house during the winter. . .

That is

patience, dedication and perseverance.  Or insanity, depending on your perspective.

I wonder how many batteries

I wonder how many batteries he has gone through? There is a very thin line between insane and hobbyist.

Really?

From 0:55 to 10:55 of this video shows a tracked excavator going through a dimmely lit tunnelor part of the basement. The last 2 minutes he almost starts to dig, then has to maneuver to keep from flipping it over.  Talk about the strange neighbor who plays in his basement. This is not even worth watching. Lemme see some real action or dirt hauling, gimme something...........

Ditto

I'm kind of like Rob - 12 minutes to almost start digging? I see why it's taken 14 years to move a small amount of dirt. But "to each his own" said the old lady as she kissed the cow. Who knows if he digs long enough he might discover a life or something.
