I am attaching three pictures of some foam core buildings I have put together for the Grande Pacific RR.  Two of the Acme Produce Co and One of the Rocky Mountain Printing Co. Model Builders program will give you rock walls.

The next picture will show the frame. Put foam core together with white glue.  3m77 adhesive to stick paper.

Rocky Mountain Printing Co. Right side is foam core building left is card stock printing that is attached to wall to make the scene look bigger.

CGI details

If you're looking for free down-loadable graphics for everything from brick textures to windows and wood, check out  http://www.cgtextures.com/  Textures can be manipulated in photoshop or other graphic programs.  Have used the images to create water-slide decals or entire printed walls and roofs.

Nice structures. They prove

Nice structures. They prove that Foamcore also works great as a superstructure for building material to be applied over. I've even had luck with Northeastern wood sidings over a foamcore base.

Also, thanks for the link to cgtextures.com. Like the commercial says: "The possibilities are endless".

Foam Core

Also try gator foam, very strong type of foam core.  Look for industrial set construction companies: as in theater for supplies of scrap,  fashion display houses are another source.

Foam Core

Had a lot of success with both foam core and the referenced web site. On the first link, I bashed a paper structure PDF of "Ole Miss" online and for free. On the second link the large buildings are all foam core - there are two that have Plexiglas parts but the rest is foam. I use this type of construction for background buildings (except for the station). One building is a Baltimore landmark that I photographed, re-touched, and printed from PhotoShop - and if you are familiar with the city, it is the old Matheson Building. I like this kind of construction because what was intended as a mock-up / place holder became the final product.

Interested in hearing thoughts...

By the way - great modeling!

I got my comments backwards - wanted to compliment you on the great paper / foam core models. Your use of these as foreground models takes a risk that pays off well. They fit in quite well and are very believable.

Building program

Is the Model builders program you use the one from ModelTrainSoftware.com? Apparently I missed the link to which you were referring to.

BTW very nice structures, I picked up 3 cases of Elmers foam core back in October at Michael's for $10 a case and this will help use up some of it.

YES these are the people.  I attach the card stock paper purchased form Wal Mart with spray adhesive 3M77.  Do not know what wet glue will do to printed paper.  Good Luck.
