Here is some software news that might make your model RRing more productive.

There is a new free plug-in for internet browsers that makes searching for images and movies on the web a whole new experience. It is called cooliris.  The plug-in uses existing search technology such as google, youtube, yahoo, etc and displays the results in an animated 3D wall effect. It works in firefox on macs and PCs. They even have a iPhone version. Check it out at http://www.cooliris.com

Adobe has annouced that Photosop CS4 will have built-in focus stacking. This will provide a Helicon Focus-like capability right in the Ps application. I have not tried it yet, but do have it on order. I'll post more info after I have had a chance to check it out.

Maybe an article

focusing on a comparison of Helicon Focus and Photoshop CS4 would be a good idea.  I know I'd like to see it.  The article might show the raw photos with the finished products side-by-side.  Any takers out there?

Cutting edge

From a web developers POV I have Stumpled upon a few web sites already using this RSS technology to promote their images and videos using Media RSS to create the "wall" of thumbnails.  It seems to be a simple 3 step process to add your own media file "wall" to web sites.

Media RSS is an open standard for syndicating multimedia content, and I am going to test the Cooliris Media RSS feed code on my PD site to see if I can create a "wall" for all my media files. If it works then I may be able to replace all of my existing gallery pages and eliminate having to develop new ones for the future.

Thanks for the heads up!
