My layout's track plan is changing significantly from this, but I wanted to share it with you all anyway.

Nice graphic, but needs more challenge

That's a very nice track plan graphic, but you need more challenge in your track plan if you intend to do switching.

To get more challenge, make one or more industry tracks face the other way and add a runaround track. That will be much more interesting than what you have now, where all the industry spurs face the same way.

That's my first impression comment.

rotation?

I like your layout - I don't think the switching is restricted - You have created a modified Inglenook which can provide a lot of switching challenges and your layout provides for beautiful scenicing.

You want to run modern cars and I don't think they will be happy with the 18 inch radius.  I have a modest suggestion that might open it up.  It basically just rotates your track design to allow a bigger corner without changing the scenery too much.

Awesome suggestion!

Awesome suggestion Artarms! I think that setting the industries on an angle to allow for a wider radius turn would be great.  On the plan posted I've used a 22" radius curve on the mainline and the pulpwood facility has an 18" radius curve on it there.

Yeah, I think I finally decided that this plan was a bit too constrictive. I've re-evaluated my available space and found a 2x11.5 foot section of wall that I can work with. I'll be coming up with a new plan for that soon enough.
