I need help to figur out how I can build headlight in a Bombardier cabcar from Athearn.

Is there anybody who have made this?

I'm thinking it shouldn't be too difficult. Use some small lightbulbs or LEDs and brass tubing (to act as a light box) and hook it all up through a cheap DCC decoder to make it turn off when going in the opposite direction. Just MU your cab car decoder with the engine's decoder.

You may also have room for a small white LED , switch and a battery - which would allow the headlight to stay on independent of the the running power, such as when staged at the station.  I have been able to shoehorn small batteries and switches for headlight LEDs and blinking roof flashers into locomotives in the past.
