Using Atlas 585 code 83 switch machines. Throwing two at same time. One works fine. Other seems to be binding up. New switch and new switch machine. Really frustrated with this switch machine.

If you hook just one up,
If you hook just one up, does it work? You probably don't have enough power to throw two at one time. What are you using for a pwoer supply? For solenoid switch machines you get the best results using a capacitor discharge power supply, they're easy to make or you can buy one from Circuitron ("The Snapper"). A CD power supply gives you the strong but short jolt of power you need to effectively operate solenoid switch machines. Plus they limit continuous current to a low level so that if you hold down the button too long or it gets stuck, you don't burn out the switch machine.
