I'm in the process of transitioning from ipad to playbook. I've been experimenting with the various versions of the pdfs and have discovered that the Linux and Mac versions seem to display the best (the pc version doesn't render at all). However, I've noticed that some pages don't display (for example the Dallas Model advert) which only display as a white page. Any ideas or future resolutions? I'm more than willing to test any experimental formats.

Thanks!

Printer Friendly version?

Have you tried the black/white printer-friendly version yet?

I'm going to guess that pages with animation on them won't work properly.

I think early issues used Flash

I think some of the early issues of MRH used Flash, including some of the ads.

I bet that has something to do with the problem.

Since flash works fine (with a few exceptions) on the playbook, it shouldn't be an issue.

Currently, I've only been examining the most recent MRH offering to see how things go.

I really was more interested

I really was more interested in seeing how the latest edition of MRH would render on the Playbook's screen. I would prefer to use the HD screen on the playbook to see the magazine. I had hoped (but not really believed) that even the embedded version would work. I suppose that depends on which version of Adobe Reader is packaged with the playbook.

It appears that I'm only missing out on a few adverts, although I haven't finished checking the entire magazine out yet. I'm just curious as to why I don't see them...

MP4?

I don't believe we use Flash anymore (and ditching it has reduced our tech problems immeasurably, yes Steve Jobs, you might just be right), and all animations/video are going to be in MP4 format - do you see any 3D Click N Spins? I don't actually remember if we had any in the July issue.
