I currently have a high end mini camera in service that transmits to a projector to a 8 x 16 screen in front of my SD-45 simulator cab. Picture quality is great  , transmit range is great BUT the camera is heavy and requires 3 cars for all the power and transmit equipment. I've been watching some drone racing video and am amazed at the quality, range, camera size and non latency of the picture. Not being familiar with drones would one of those cameras be capable in fitting say a SD-45 HO scale cab and have enough room in one unit for transmitter and power requirement ? While the camera I have does a great job it's too unwieldy for normal op use. The RR is located on the second floor of a 32' by 104' barn NCE DCC operated and is multi decked. The current transmitter handles this just fine. I've seen smaller cameras at the Springfield Mass. show that had a separate lens that fit in a HO scale GP-35 with the lens in the upper headlight casting.  I lost my contact info with that group. The modular layout is in the Better Living Center. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.   Thanks, Ken

If your talking about putting

If your talking about putting it inside a dummy unit , like an old BB Athearn I would say that it should be no problem. If there's an issue it would be dept of field , focal distance , or focal length.

DJI has a solution.

DJI, which makes drone cameras, has a solution.

This DJI camera comes with a Gimbal and it can be laid down on a flatcar so the camera hangs out in front over the coupler.
