Starting another diorama for the Credit Valley Railway.

I have decided to do the scenery in Diorama form. What that means is I will build each "Scene" on a piece of hardboard on my workbench, then place it onto the layout and "work it in".

This next one is "Sutherland Farm". Three kits from my favourite Craftsman kit manufacturer and two from my second favourite manufacturer. Farm House and Barn, two smaller outbuildings and a water tower. Will have to scratch an old round silo and a water windmill. The flickering tea light is for the farm house. Going to wire a bunch of them into a DC line.

First level on the base is done. Now to start on the structures.

Note: That little water tower will be replaced with an Osborn Water tower.

Also, the piece of twine will be replaced by a split rail fence to keep the cows and horses in the field.

Will, that's a very smart approach and and one that makes me slap my head and say I should have thought of that years ago!   Essentially you're making small pallets with a structure on them correct?

How is the diorama going?

Thank you Rich.

Yes, I am making dioramas on my workbench.
It is more comfortable and you can move the diorama around to work on it.

This particular one has been put on hold as I am completing the track work on my upper level first, so I can run trains. The track on the lower level is complete. The upper level has 2 turntables that need to be motorized.
