I am building a Woodland Scenics DPM kit of the M.T. Arms Hotel.  I would love to see some finished hotels so I might find some inspiration in painting it.  If you have one finished, would you mind taking a picture of it and sharing it?

Thanks!

Doug

Here are some photos

I put in the Roomette's kit and a "neon" sign from Miller Engineering...

The beds were made with a piece of foam covered in a comforter texture from Scale Scenes Interior and the headboard and footboard are from Scale Scenes as well.  Pillows were just pieces of paper folder over into the shape and glued in place.  I've got a 3D printed couch in the lobby of the hotel, too.  I really enjoy putting these together.

I've found that similar tones

I've found that similar tones look best on this particular building.  In this case, brown windows on sandstone walls.  Not too much contrast.%20Hotel.jpg

Hotel California

Here ya go, Doug.

Welcome to my Hotel California - where "You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! ".

My version of the M.T. Arms. Windows have printed venetian blinds and drapes. I added a scratch-built rooftop water tank and elevator housing.

Yes, I still intend to add some basic interiors and lighting. Congratulations to both Dave and Barry - brilliant work!

The Hotel
