how to disassemble ihc- mehano 2-6-0 mother Hubbard camelback loco without destroying it.what I found so far the rear end slides out and has tabs .cab has two screws and the front I'm not sure about it .all I found so far there's a screw that hold  the pilot wheels  and unscrewed and still couldn't remove  the front of it I believe I'm missing something here. Mehano

The Mehano 2-6-0 is a model of a NYO&W engine with a tender from its SP prototype 2-6-0.  It's about 10 ft too long.

The camelback 2-6-0 was a rare bird only a couple railroads had that arrangement.  Since Mehano put it on its SP-2-6-0 chassis and the SP boiler was interchangeable with the Mehano 4-4-0, you can swap the camelback boiler onto a Mehano 4-4-0.  4-4-0 camelbacks were used by over a dozen different railroads and was the 2nd most popular camelback wheel arrangement, only the 2-8-0 was used by and produced by more railroads.

....

There should be a screw under the pilot wheels that holds the front down on the cylinder block.

. . .

The IHC 2-6-0  Camel back is based on the IHC 2-6-0. SO the screws are under the front pilot truck. Remove the front truck and the brass pressure spring to access the screw.

You then pry these two out of the pilot plate . They are simply press fit.

And you end up with this
