Individual Photo?

I could not tell that. Would you mind posting an individual photo?

I recall having picked up a partially finished wood kit a number of years ago, and still have not gotten around to completing it.

Not saying those are large

Not saying those are large cars, but...

If they were beer can tank cars you could have about a hundred in the same space.  Beautiful work, just in case no one mentioned it yet.

I have the Q Craft model and

I have the Q Craft model and had the OMI UTLX whale! I ripped the screen wire off the GATX with the intention of replacing it with Plano. I bent the new brackets and had the Plano in hand, but lost interest and went on to other projects. A friend in St Louis took and sent me detail photos of the car.

Hi Bobby,
Thanks to your blueprints of the DUPX whale tankers which I have safely stored in my project closet, I am finally decided going forward with this project in the next few weeks. I am now soldering shorter modern liquefied petroleum gas (1075), and ammonia tankers, but then soon wish to move on to these big whale tankers.

Since I know you beautifully modeled them, I'd like to know if you could provide to me an underbelly picture of DUPX 12405?
What I am most interested to see is the brake lines layout in particular. I kinda have a good idea about how to do the lateral air tanks, but I don't see how they run under the tanker.

I shall post pictures of the gas tankers progress soon.

Cheers
Stephane (aka Ironstef70)

Now I'm trying to imagine how long such a large tanker full of beer would last... That might even be enough for one of the Octoberfest tents to last a day... What a drunk mess ;-)

In fact there is an unused subway station right beneath the Octoberfest area. It may be necessary to refill the beer into smaller tank cars, because the subway system has tight clearances.

Have fun!

I have been in pause for a few months with hobby stuff and forums, so I was unaware that Bobby passed away. God bless him and may he be in peace now.
He will forever be inspiration for me. Tank you Bobby for your tips and beautiful tankers.
