Hi all,  I recently tried to order 8 Tropicana Atlas reefers from MB Klein.  It let me purchase all 8 but next day refunded me most of order.  I called since no email and was told they oversold. How does that happen you only add the inventory you have available.  Now I cannot find them online anywhere.  They are supposed to have just came out with this scheme.  Has anyone seen any available anywhere.  And has anyone had that issue with supplier either ?

I ordered

2 Atlas U23s from Walthers at the same time 5 minutes after they were announced. One came in about a month (several months earlier than they said). Second one isn’t available

oversold is possible

without any malfeasance. Consider two users go to the site at the same time. There are 8 available, and both users are shown availability of 8 items. User 1 puts 6 in his cart, and then checks out. He gets all six. User 2 asks for all 8. He may not have waited very long, maybe just a few minutes; perhaps he needed to add some couplers and wheels to the order. But when he goes to check out, there are only two remaining in stock. The retailer accepts User 2's order for 8, because problems could occur with the User 1's order. But if User 1's order goes through, they can't fulfill User 2's full order so they refund the difference.
