Fall time is the best time.

The Greg Northern SW creeps along the tracks in this old industrial spur in Klamath Falls Oregon. With only a few customers remaining on the line the railroad only operators twice a week. They do some car storage and also have some older historical equipment that they plan to use for photo freights and excursions.

New narrow gauge loco

A new TU7 has just arrived and ready to get dirty!

Russian narrow gague in TTe scale (1:120 on 6.5mm tracks). The 'new' one is only a static model and will end upon jacks in the loco shed.

That actually looks really good - just like it had just gotten hit by a downpour. 

Put the workers in raingear and I'd believe it was still raining some. 

How long was that train in the Helix?

Sometimes it seems a train takes a lifetime to come out of the helix...

Newport Center Barn Scene

Great photos this week.  My contribution is work done this weekend finishing up a barn scene representing Newport Center, VT.  Here's southbound train number 80 with a pair of RS-18s rolling past the the lush green fields around the barn.
