Blair;Edge of the wilderness

Blair;

Edge of the wilderness sounds interesting.

Are you in an area with many deciduous trees with bright autumn colours?

The maples

have started to fade, the birches are in ascendance, the beeches are maturing, the oaks are staid in their drab browns.  Poplar, basswood, ash have all fallen, so yes, we're in the throes of fall.

Mike, That's a big modern

Mike,

That's a big modern rumble. I love the old maroon and grey paint scheme on it.

Looks like the PoCo area.

Coquitlam, right beside Hwy 1

Totally fluke situation.  I took a different route to Home Depot, and there she was with a regular Action Red in tow on a Potash Unit drag.  Only going maybe 10 mph.  Pulled over and got 4 shots.  My friend took a video but I haven't seen it yet.  Evidently there are 10 of them decorated like this.  I think they are SD90MACs rebuilt as SD70MACs.

I've got a couple of the forthcoming Athearn Genesis units on reserve at the LTS.  Not my era, but hey, can’t pass up that paint.   Id love it if they went back to that classic paint scheme.  I’ve never really liked the Action Red.  I much prefer CN’s mixed red & black to the Action Red.

Mike, I know the area. I

Mike, I know the area.

I think one of those locos along with two other locos pulls the Canadian Pacific's official executive business train that goes from coast to coast.
