This is a new (to me) Bachmann N-Scale ATSF 4-8-4 Northern #2910 that has had a professional sound decoder installation. The Northern steam engine was one of the last 4-8-4 engines released by Bachmann for the Santa Fe Railroad in 2015 and had a can motor. It was purchased off eBay at a really good price. So far, it runs very well and will be further tested leading both passenger and freight trains.

The following items were installed: Soundtraxx TSU-750 Sound Decoder (Heavy Steam), Soundtraxx Mini-Cube 3 Speaker (same as in the Tsunami2 KN-1 kit), Richmond Controls Electrical Contact kit for Bachmann 4-8-4 Tender, and TCS KA1 Keep Alive. DCC Installer (all scales): Steven Fields, audioguys1@aol.com.

Note: A few years ago, I had a partial success in trying to install sound in one the previous releases that had an open frame motor but it did not run as well as I wanted so I had stopped.  After some research, I found out that Bachmann had released their last iteration of the ATSF N-scale 4-8-4 Northern in 2015 so I began a search on eBay for one of them and actually found this one at a very good price a couple of months ago.
