My second road trip necessary to get all my stuff in one place is now history. I have two more road trips to go, unfortunately.

This trip I flew to northern Virginia, where my Mom has recently moved from her independent living apartment into an assisted living room in the same facility. So I inherited half her furniture (prematurely). I rented a Penske truck and loaded up the stuff and drove it to Laredo,  TX, where it's now in storage.

It is going to take at least 2 round trips with my van from Cancun to Laredo to haul all the stuff back here. After the first trip I had to take my van in for service as I'd blown a tire just an hour and a half from the finish line, and that did various damage. That cost me two grand but I have my van back (it finished while I was in Virginia). So I'm penciling in heading out on the next road trip for maybe October 1 if not sooner.
