I have an old block occupancy detector that has gone bad. It has three detectors on one circuit board and is connected by an edge connector. The board is marked with "EDA" and "402-U". Does anyone have any information on this device? A pin-out on the edge connector would be most helpful. Thanks!

Best of Luck

Dear ??

IIRC "EDA Electronics" was a Model Train electronics company from Australia, circa 1980s. They were authorized by the late Kermit Paul (Lone Pine and Tonopah) to build a progressive cab-control system pre-dating DCC, called "Auto-Cab", and were known locally for various "throttles"/controllers and other useful items.

It is unknown if the current "CDA Electronics"

is in any way related to the old "EDA Electronics", but it's doubtful.
I fear the best one could say in your predicament is "best of luck"...

(Do you have an other same make/model units in functional order,
which can be used to A/B debug the Bad Unit?

If no, maybe time to investigate alternatives/upgrade-paths?)
