We had some issues with the UWT-50 injection molding that took a while to figure out. The injection molder still isn't finished, but hopefully they'll be finished soon.

Scars

Thanks for the update, John. This has been an interesting trial that I hope you, TCS, Stuart and everyone else involved take as a positive learning experience. In an earlier video you commented that one advantage of the offshore molding companies is the expertise their size and experience brings compared to the smaller onshore shop.

When the next project spins up, you can use those relative experiences to execute more smoothly. I'm sure the small shop has taken away some learnings as well. I've always thought of the memories that caused pain in the moment as scars - and scars are great reminders (and make for good stories). A good post-project retrospective would be a plus for both sides.

So many variables

I’m guessing most of us don’t really think of all the engineering variables that have to be examined when manufacturing a product. I’m kicking myself for not pre-ordering, because even with the setbacks I’m sure this will be a killer product.
